I became hooked on Kiiko Style after my fifth seminar. I decided to use a more holistic approach in a patient who reported severe right arm pain, as well as multiple ovarian cysts. I used the abdominal reflexes and to the surprise of both of us, her arm pain completely disappeared. I was inspired and impressed that I could assess immediately the effectiveness of the treatment.

Having attended Kiiko style classes since 2012, I can say that this study has completely transformed my practice.  I was initially trained in TCM, and at first found it difficult to transition my treatment style to this new methodology. Fortunately, supplementing Kiiko’s teaching with instruction from Monika, bridged the gap. Kiiko’s virtuoso style can be hard to start with, but Monika then steps in and explains all the basics that lead to what Kiiko is currently doing.  This one-two combo of seeing a master at work and then hearing an expert translator really makes it easy to bring this method into the clinic.

KMS has improved my clinical outcomes and boosted my confidence in having a treatment for any weird thing that may come in the door. Instead of being an acupuncturist that can only treat pain, using Kiiko style has transformed my practice into focusing on internal medicine.  Kiiko’s attitude of “I can do that with a needle” has helped me trust that what I need to accomplish in the clinic can be done with acupuncture. 

This style definitely has appeal to my patients as well. Because it is so gentle, it is easy to deal with sensitive and needle-phobic patients. Additionally, they love seeing the changes happen as we work and test points.  I can’t even say how many times patients have described my treatment as magic. 

I continue to study with Kiiko because there are always deeper levels of understanding that I access with every class. When starting, the protocols are easy to use and extremely effective in clinic.  As my learning progresses, I understand more of the why and can apply these strategies in new ways.  Sometimes I wonder if I have the time or money to apply to taking another class, but every time I am usually saying to myself within the first hour “Well, that gem right there just made this class worth the price of admission.”

I am in my last year of school and was lucky to attend the Essentials of Kiiko Matsumoto Acupuncture. It was quite intensive to integrate the whole protocol of the Hara diagnosis and overview of the various reflex areas, but since then I have been quite thrilled to  practice one zone reflex per week in Students clinic. It is still an adjunct to my TCM approach as expected in school but it gives me an edge with some practical tools that help address the patients' root patterns with convincing results. I felt better armed when recently treating some patients with multiple immune conditions.

I am a physician and an acupuncturist from Kyiv and my clinic was completely destroyed on January 2, 2024. Since then, I have opened a new clinic and have been working with military and civilian people. During this time, I also managed to complete my first class in Kiiko Style acupuncture with Turning Point Seminars.

Initially, I had concerns about online learning, but now I am excited. The format developed by Turning Point Seminars made it possible for me to become acquainted with Kiiko Matsumoto's method and to implement new strategies in daily practice during a very difficult time. It is happiness to see the surprised eyes of my patients and the disappearance (or significant decrease) of long-term pain after one session.

For example, after treating the Oketsu area of a patient from the military, his weight decreased by 13 kg due to fluid loss. Back pain and joint pain were also diminished. Shortness of breath disappeared. He could walk from 200 metres to 2 kilometres! Before acupuncture treatment, this man was repeatedly treated in hospitals in Kyiv with cardiac and diuretic medicines but without any significant effect. Now he has rejoined the Army and continues to defend us. I consider it a great result!

These courses have thoroughly inspired me and given me the confidence to make Kiiko style acupuncture the main style of Acupuncture I practise. I particularly love the degree of hands-on palpation and verification of diagnosis through the points that release the reflexes, which my patients find equally fascinating.

One of the main areas I specialise in is fertility and obstetric Acupuncture and am a member of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team London. A large number of my fertility patients have undergone or are undergoing invasive and stressful medical procedures, which cause extremely high levels of anxiety. Kiiko style is so amazing at calming and balancing the autonomic nervous system and is an essential part of my fertility treatments (especially important for the pre and post transfer treatments during IVF). 

I have had two patients recently in the last few weeks of pregnancy with such severe pelvic pain they could barely walk. Using a combination of visceroptosis  and neurovascular compression treatment gave them back their mobility and drastically reduced their pain levels. And today another patient in late pregnancy came into my clinic hugely anxious about her forthcoming labour, as well as suffering from extreme back pain. She was helped enormously, both emotionally and physically, using a combination of the trochanter treatment, structural treatment for her SI joint and Spleen 3.2 that magically released all remaining muscular pain.

I have been really impressed with the last few webinars. The camera work is terrific, as is the editing. You really get a good sense of exactly what Kiiko’s needling and palpation techniques are with the second close-up camera -and I love the picture-in-picture so that you get both views simultaneously. 

One of the big changes that I have noticed is the fact that key information will just pop up on the screen as you are watching so that you don’t have to trust your ears. You can hit pause and write down the concept or the points.

The Foundations course was by far my favorite workshop. Monika and Turning Point Seminars are doing a phenomenal job with the online Kiiko seminars. I started working with Kiiko, assisting in her office, and attending all her seminars in 2010. I have been to many in-person seminars, and the online seminars are better in a lot of ways.

Oftentimes when attending in person, it is difficult to capture all the material and see specifically what Kiiko is doing when needling patients. With online webinars, it is much easier to see exactly what she is doing. Plus, you can watch the videos for an hour or two at a time, and then go back to re-watch anything that wasn't clear. Monika's lectures and background info about Kiiko style are excellent. I especially like the annotations and subtitles. They clarify in real time what is happening in the lectures and treatments.

I began studying with Kiiko in 2017 and was immediately blown away by her humor, energy, and especially by the deep connection to the Chinese medicine classics that she shares through her teaching.  I have been in practice as a Naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist for over 25 years and studying with Kiiko has completely transformed the acupuncture side of my practice. Her teaching brings together many disparate pieces, east and west,  and grounds them in the classics of Chinese medicine and in immediate clinical results.
